FRANCE LAKE

The City of Kenton owns and operates a fishing and boating lake to the West of Kenton on State Route 67.

France Lake is open year round.  


  • Each boat/fisherman MUST have a permit to utilize the lake.
  • All individuals 17+ must have a valid permit.

France Lake TRUSTEES

France Lake is monitored by a group of appointed voluteer trustees. These trustees are in place to enforce the rules of France Lake as well as keep the citizens partaking in activities accountable.

City Parks

The City of Kenton offers its residents 6 parks inside City limits. There is also 1 playground located at Saulisberry Park Campground/France Lake.


Wharton Park houses a new, 18 hole, Disc Golf course. The course runs alongside the Scioto River and offers a scenic walk through the woods on holes 2 and 7.

KENTON MUNICIPAL POOL

The Kenton Municipal Pool is open seasonly from Memorial Day to the 2nd weekend in August. 

  • The daily pool hours are 1:00PM-7:00PM
  • Private pool rentals are available with an online reservation. 
  • Rental hours will be from 7:00PM-10:00PM

SAULISBURY CAMPGROUND

The Saulisbury Campground is ajacent to France Lake. 

  • 16 Water & Electric lots
  • 11 Water, Electric & Sewer lots
  • 4 Electric lots
  • 10 tent lots
